UK’s Top Penny Auction Site Launches on Affiliate Window
(PRWeb UK) October 7, 2009
Bid4Vouchers, billed as the only UK auction sites that is ISTS compliant and overseen by the Office of Fair Trading’s SafeBuy scheme, has launched on Affiliate Window, a large UK based affiliate network. Website publishers, blog owners and online promoters can now earn commission from Bid4Vouchers on all purchases of their bid packs by signing up to the affiliate program and promoting the site to their visitors.
Josh Logan, affiliate manager for Bid4Vouchers explains,
“We’ve been looking at the affiliate channel for some time and Affiliate Window are the only network to have a dedicated partnership team which allows us to partner with some very high traffic websites. We initially resisted paying a percentage commission on purchases because we knew that we have a very high number of repeat buys and many auction sites pay only an initial commission just for this reason, aiming to pay only for the introduction. We’re going against the grain here in aiming to build a relationship with our affiliates where they earn repeatedly from an introduction in the hope that the more commission they make, the more they work for us.”
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept behind online auctions and think they’re just like eBay, think again. Bid4Vouchers allows members to bid on bundles of gift vouchers from many leading high street stores with many going for up to 95% off the face value of the vouchers. This is made possible by charging a small amount for each bid and the price going up in very small amounts with every bid. Even with many bidders the price for £500 of gift vouchers can be only a few pounds. Check out the latest auction here.
So what’s behind the SafeBuy scheme which oversees the site? Director, Oliver Hutcheon explains;
“Operating in what can be a largely unregulated area it was important for us to show there’s a substantial business behind the website. There are some unscrupulous operators in the marketplace, most notably from overseas, and it was important for us to show that we are a trustworthy operation. The SafeBuy scheme is overseen by the Office of Fair Trading and is the mark of a well regulated and fair website which conforms to all the necessary regulations, both as a website and a company. Their checks are very thorough but you just can’t get a more trusted stamp on your site.”
