Barmano.com Bar kicks Off its January Bar Review Contest

With the warm welcoming of the October bar review contest, and to celebrate the New Year, Barmano.com will kick-off it’s bar and cocktail lounge review contest for the month of January (starting January 1st) and is open to beer, cocktail and wine connoisseurs alike who enjoy sharing their experience with others. With 56,000+ bars in it’s worldwide bar guide, so there’s a good chance people will find one of their favorite bars. Entries will be judged by creativity, clarity and helpfulness.

Barmano will again offer two Amazon gift certificates to the two best written bar reviews between January 1st and the 31st. All entries must be in accordance with the official rules, and will be judged by the Barmano project team members, and community members.

To enter is simple, participants must write a bar review for a bar appearing in Barmano’s bar guide. To qualify, reviews must be a previously unpublished and original review. The site’s editors will add a bar if a visitor can’t find their favorite bar or pub. It has tens of thousands of bars and city bar guides, from its Philadelphia bar guide to its San Francisco bar guide.

They will be looked at closely for usefulness, clarity, novelty and that people are just having fun. Barmano staff will also factor in community feedback to each review written.

The prize:

1st place – $ 100 gift certificate from Amazon.com

2nd place – $ 50 gift certificate from Amazon.com

Contest Guidelines:

You must be 21 years of age. The bar review length must be descriptive about the experience and what you liked, example, drinks, atmosphere, etc. The bar review must be posted on http://www.barmano.com. The participants may submit multiple entries, so long as each entry meets all requirements, but one participant can only win one Prize during the Contest Period. Entries that are lewd, obscene, pornographic, slanderous of another party, or otherwise contain objectionable material may be disqualified in the Judges’ sole and unfettered discretion. The review and your account will be deleted from the site. The participants must not include any details that may be inappropriate to share with the general public. Not allowed: cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices; or annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other participants, judges or pretty much anyone.
