Blog Setup
Blog Setup made easy .
When considering setting up a blog on your existing website I would seriously recommend setting up a sub domain where you can place you installation. Once you have setup your sub domain follow the easy steps laid out in this article and you wont go wrong.
First download WordPress the latest version and save this somewhere on you computer. Get your self a good ftp client and upload the files to the specific sub domain. Once uploaded setup a MySQL database on your server. This acts as a database store for all of your articles.
Once this is setup edit the sample con fig file and place in your required details. This will then link up the blog to the MySQL database and allow you to install the blog quite easily. The next stage is to complete all the settings such as your blog name and whether or not you want the blog setup to be visible to the search engines.
Once installed and your in the backend dashboard consider what theme you would like to use to improve the look of the blog and which plugins you want to use to improve the blogs functionality. We have a vast amount of knowledge using wordpress plugins and now have a good stock of great performing plugins we use on a regular basis.
Including SEO with my blog setup for blog traffic.
I would recommend first of all before adding anything else to your blog getting the right seo plug in that is going to allow you to generate good levels of traffic for your blog and help achieve decent listings in the search engines. You can take your time testing your blog but I would really reccomend leaving the setup process to an experience internet marketing specialist. This way you can save time and get on with your own work and even receive some important blog training.
